An event that commenced in Cape York, Queensland and has now expanded to regional Victoria and East Arnhem, Northern Territory. In each location, participants walk a select distance over two days, with camping each night.
Mental Health workshops and yarning circles are offered, along with raffles and awards - a weekend not to miss! Through the support of local businesses and organisations, we are able to offer this as a free event.
How It Began
Conquer the Corrugations started in 2015 by the Jackson family of Wolverton Station, a year after 18 year old Dillon Jackson took his own life.
Determined not to let Dillon be forgotten and to break the Stigma the Jackson family along with the large Conquer Crew family ensure that this event occurs year on year.
What started with a couple of dozen friends and family has grown up to 250 people turning up for the annual Cape York grueling slog.
Almost all the participants have been touched by mental health issues in some way. Everybody participating is walking in honour of someone, potentially themselves.
